Why Allegra

Community

Allegra is proud to serve the Northern Virginia and DC Metropolitan area, and we recognize that our business can only remain as strong as the community we serve. We are committed to educating our customers about print and graphic communications techniques that will make the most of their messages and resources.  Please call the owner of Allegra Fairfax, Oanh Henry, to discuss your mission.  We are responsive to your needs, so, don't hesitate to call.

Nonprofit Organizations

We are especially dedicated to helping charities, schools, healthcare institutions, trade and business associations, and other nonprofit organizations – whether to attract volunteers, generate funding, or make other contributions. Faced with increasing competition, they must strengthen their visibility and name recognition to effectively serve our community, and we are happy to support their efforts in kind.

If you represent a local nonprofit, please contact us to see how we can help your organization. Links to some of the current groups we are currently working with:

  • Allegra Fairfax is fully engaged to support NOVACO.org where its mission is to provide housing and services that enable survivors of domestic abuse to bridge from homelessness to self-sufficiency.  To learn more about this organization, either call Oanh at Allegra Fairfax or check out the web site www.novaco.org
  • The Heritage Culture and Camp organization who's focus is to keeping kids connected to their heritage so that they are well rounded individuals with a positive self image and a greater sense of community with their peers. In addition, it is committed to creating support groups in bringing together parents of Ethiopian children to share their great common goal of raising self-assured and well-adjusted Ethiopian-Americans. • The National Autism Association – our local Fairfax chapter of Virginia  (www.NAA-NOVA.org)
  • The Alzheimer's Association in the National Capital Area - serving the District of Columbia, Suburban and Southern Maryland and Northern Virginia (www.alz.org/nca)
  • Our Daily Bread organization from Fairfax (http://www.our-daily-bread.org/)- where it is a volunteer-based organization focused on easing the plight of low income residents in the Fairfax County area of Virginia

Networking Organizations

In addition to supporting the local nonprofit organization, our company is very active in the local business networking activities.  We understand the importance of giving and getting qualified referrals from the members and their network.

  • Allegra Fairfax has just recently joined the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce.  The Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce is the “Voice of Business in Northern VirginiaTM” – and includes some of America’s most powerful and respected companies. The Chamber provides area companies with access to business opportunities and business and elected leaders; critical networking opportunities; insightful events and programs; and strategic advocacy – enabling member companies to better market products and services, build networks and play a leadership role in industries and community.   Allegra Fairfax is proud to be a partner of the chamber and is looking forward to participate in many aspects of the chamber's activities.  (www.fairfaxchamber.org)

  • BNI of Virginia– our print center belongs to a business networking international of the Centreville chapter.  Previously, we associated with the Tysons Select chapter.  This BNI is strictly using a warm referral process and it works for our business.  If you are looking to market your business and / or interested in growing your business, please contact the owner of this Allegra Fairfax, Oanh Henry, and she will connect you with the right group of people.  We would love to help you increase your revenues.   (http://www.novabusinessalliance.com/)
  • Our involvement with the Asian American Chamber (http://www.asian-americanchamber.org/) to expand the service to the Asian Pacific American owned businesses in greater Washington DC area.  The chamber is holding their next gala on March 16, 2012 and it will be a fantastic event to attend.  The key note speaker is our very own retired major general in the United States Army, Antonio Mario Taguba.   The chamber is also glad to have Surae Chinn, WUSA9 reporter, as the emcee for the event.  The chamber will have several important government officials attending the event and to help the chamber celebrating its second anniversary and to recognize the businesses and individuals who make an impact to the Asian American community.  Please check it out at www.asian-americanchamber.org/2012gala.  You are welcome to contact Oanh Henry to visit this chamber.
  • Vietnamese American Chamber is another association that our organization got involved in supporting the Vietnamese American businesses in managing and operating their businesses more efficiently.  This chamber was established in September 2009 and is a growing organization (www.vietamcham.com).  For the term of 2010 to 2012, Oanh Henry, the owner of Allegra of Fairfax, is on the board of directors for this chamber.  If you have a story that you'd like to tell, please email it to Oanh at ohenry@allegrafairfax.com and she will help processing the story line to the proper communication.
